In celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Vienna Sports Union, founded by the Austrian Post Services, we designed a book illustrating the society’s history. The Sports Union is an important landmark for Vienna’s 17th district and has opened it’s huge area right from the beginning for both professionals and leisure sports. The Union’s success, its Viennese charm and its survival over troublesome times, are the result of the work of many people – those in the limelight and also those behind the scenes. With this collection of memories we have also tried to capture the characters and details that might not be so evident at first sight.
